“Techlandia” Promises Big Laughs for Geek-Soaked Seattle

Seattle, Wa. – Seattle comedienne Bridget Quigg has announced a new one-woman show, Techlandia, starting a three-week run at Theater Schmeater in Belltown on February 26, 2016. Quigg offers a humorous spin on 11 years working in Seattle’s tech startup scene.

“The tech industry allows for a lot of odd behavior from its employees, like riding tricycles to meetings. Not to mention all the lavish, goofy benefits like seven kinds of M&Ms and full bars on site. It’s a world filled with quirks that are very easy to roast,” says Quigg.

A veteran of the Seattle theater and music scene, this is Quigg’s fifth one-woman show and almost certain to sell out its 8-night run. A graduate of Stanford University, Quigg comes from a background in improvisational theater and has been performing stand-up comedy, music, and sketch comedy in and around town for many years, including many performances with Seattle’s esteemed Bushwick Book Club.

“We’re excited to have Bridget back at the Schmee. Her sold-out comedy Oh, Seattle! was a great success last year and we have a feeling that Techlandia will be even bigger,” says Theater Schmeater’s Artistic Director Doug Staley.

The show will offer Quigg’s signature mix of jokes, original songs, games, and, for the first time ever, a mix of videos, including breaking news from the tech industry and product promos for tech workers.

Commenting on Quigg’s performance style, acclaimed creator of My Last Year with the Nuns Matt Smith says, “Bridget makes you feel like you’re sitting in the living room of an old friend you don’t see often enough. And all her songs make you want to hear another song,”

Tickets for Techlandia can be purchased on Brown Paper Tickets. For more information on the show or to contact Ms. Quigg, write her at bridgetjanequigg@gmail.com.
